Hello, I tried this chocolate cake recipe few hours ago but somehow couldn't get the same result as you, my cake really wasn't looking that good (but tasted fine). What kind of chocolate do you use? Maybe it's because of the flour I used, i'm gluten intelorant so I used Rice flour instead of usual wheat flour.

I agree.
It is a cake and cakes are " sometimes foods" to splurge on.
I also think that saying that it is good for you means that it's better for you than cakes made with dairy, eggs, etc.

As far as it being white - the first ingredient says " unbleached flour _or_ whole wheat pastry flour". Chocolate is actually good for you in moderation. So are bananas.
And if oil/fat is a problem you can usually substitute all or half with applesauce in most recipes.

Great cake!! I always have bananas that rippen too fast and never know what to do with them! I happen to agree with the author that this is healthier than most desserts that are not vegan and loaded with eggs and butter. Sweets are ok in moderation- but with this recipe, it's soooo tempting to eat more!

Great muffins, but I had to laugh at the author who thinks this is good for you. White muffins, made with oil and chocolate chips. Not exactly bunny food. But still pretty yummy
