Vinaigrette Whisk

Thanks to the research efforts of DTV viewer Patricia Dorazio from New York, we’ve found a store that sells that little curved vinaigrette whisk I frequently use on the show. I purchased this whisk years ago at a home outlet store and have not seen one since. It is the kitchen tool most people inquire about. The web address for this store is www.fantes.com. Thank you Patricia!

  1. I am curious about the raised round circles on your stove. Are these attached to the stove or is this something you put on top of the cooking surface? What is their purpose? I love your show.

  2. Hi Dotty, My electric stove is very old and the round plates are the actual burners. They heat very quickly, but take a lot of time to cool down, so you may notice me shifting pots around the burners when I’m cooking. My wish is to get a gas stove one day! Thanks so much for watching and writing, take care. Toni

  3. I just purchased one of those whisks today. It is
“The Joy of Cooking” line and I bought it at a local department store. It’s angled and has a nicely shaped handle. I checked Fantes and their shipping fee is $15. My whisk was $5.49!

  4. Re: other simple kitchen equipment…is that a rice paddle you use to stir ingredients in a skillet? It’s an interesting shape…do you remember where you got it?
